Mid-Century Modern Adrian Pearsall Craft Associates 1404-c Walnut Side Chair

SOLD

mid century modern adrian pearsall 1404 c walnut side chair barrel back

<SOLD> The 1404-c side chair is one of Adrian Pearsall’s most stylishly understated and comfortable creations. The slim outward-flared tapered legs and Saarinen-esque seat profile give this chair a much lighter visual weight than many of Pearsall’s more common designs. Clearly, ergonomic considerations were a priority in this piece. It sits more comfortably than one might expect from a chair of it’s small scale, and encourages a perfect reclining posture. This chair has been re-upholstered with top quality fabric in a retro pattern.  Sold on 3/4/17 for $325

<SOLD> This mid-century modern bent wood lounge chair features new strapping, new foam, and brand new fabric.  The armrests are bent solid hardwood, not plywood, and have been refinished to match the original finish on the rest of the chair which is in excellent condition. This chair’s design is of Danish modern inspiration, but we believe it was made in Yugoslavia based on the material and style of construction. It is exceedingly sturdy, and is wider than most chairs of it’s type, making it equally comfortable for both large and small people.  Sold on 3/11/17 for $550

Mid Century Modern Walnut Credenza by Drexel Declaration with Brass and Walnut Pulls

SOLD

mid century modern walnut credenza drexel declaration

<SOLD>This mid century modern walnut credenza from Drexel’s Declaration collection features four drawers and two spacious cabinets for media components, albums, or dining accoutrement. Original brass and walnut pulls accent the horizontal grain of the drawers, while the subtly recessed borders of the four cabinet doors outline the beautiful vertically oriented grain of the door fronts. Original lighting automatically illuminates each cabinet when the doors are opened. The tapered walnut legs are centered between each pair of doors, creating a cantilevered effect evocative of modern  architecture. This credenza is one of the many remarkable pieces in Drexel’s Declaration line designed by Stewart MacDougall and Kipp Stewart in the late 1950’s. The entire piece has been refinished in an amber tone true to the designer’s original intention. Sold 2/13/17 for $1100mid century modern walnut credenza drexel declaration
