This vintage mid-century upholstered armchair by DeVille Furniture of Hickory, NC features decorative wood trim, a solid hardwood frame, and one of a kind vintage upholstery in a 1960s floral pattern. This high back lounge chair is exceedingly comfortable. The foam is in good shape and the fabric is in very good condition following a few professional repairs on small patches of worn cording on the armrests. This chair bears many attributes of Adrian Pearsall’s style, although we have not verified a connection between Pearsall and DeVille. Upholstery services are available upon request. The medium density foam paired with the straps offers firm, comfortable support. The fabric is an avocado green with a subtle herringbone pattern. With no tags present, we can only guess who designed this fabulous set of chairs, but they were obviously well cared for and well loved. The sloping arms and the gently tilted back provide a truly luxurious repose. Gently splayed tapered legs accent the frames with just the right angle. Semi firm cushions offer comfort and support.
