Vintage Mid-Century Flower Print Arm Chair in the style of Adrian Pearsall

This vintage mid-century upholstered armchair by DeVille Furniture of Hickory, NC features decorative wood trim, a solid hardwood frame, and one of a kind vintage upholstery in a 1960s floral pattern. This high back lounge chair is exceedingly comfortable. The foam is in good shape and the fabric is in very good condition following a few professional repairs on small patches of worn cording on the armrests. This chair bears many attributes of Adrian Pearsall’s style, although we have not verified a connection between Pearsall and DeVille.  Upholstery services are available upon request.  This fabulous lounge chair has a seat height of 18 inches.

This vintage mid-century lounge chair by DeVille  Furniture of Hickory NC features original harvest gold tweed upholstery, solid hardwood construction, and decorative wood trim in the style of Adrian Pearsall.   The backrest has six tufted buttons.  The foam and springs are in excellent condition, and the fabric has no rips or worn spots. This is an iconic mid-century armchair around which you can design a room. <SOLD> The 1404-c side chair is one of Adrian Pearsall’s most stylishly understated and comfortable creations. The slim outward-flared tapered legs and Saarinen-esque seat profile give this chair a much lighter visual weight than many of Pearsall’s more common designs. Clearly, ergonomic considerations were a priority in this piece. It sits more comfortably than one might expect from a chair of it’s small scale, and encourages a perfect reclining posture. The slightly tilted back with three centered buttons lends a non-conventional yet pleasant symmetry, and the boxy armrests and seat cushion have a simple, non-fussy modern appearance. This gorgeous restored mid century modern chair with sculpted walnut frame was manufactured by Rowe furniture and is attributed to Adrian Pearsall.

<SOLD>  This gorgeous restored mid century modern chair with sculpted walnut frame was manufactured by Rowe furniture and is attributed to Adrian Pearsall.  It wears a fresh, new covering of soft, herringbone green fabric that feels velvety to the touch.  Eight tufted buttons adorn the backrest.  The whimsical sculpted walnut accents have been lovingly refinished and embody the playfulness of this design era. With a slightly angled backrest, and a plush new foam cushion, this chair is as comfortable as it is beautiful. This chair does not have a maker’s mark, but is of superior quality with incredible lines and greatly resembles the work of Adrian Pearsall.  Measures 28″W 32″D X 40″H and a seat height of 18 inches.
