This gorgeous vintage walnut credenza by United Furniture features double fluted doors hung on brass piano hinges, which open to reveal shelved cabinets. Three central drawers offer additional storage options. All hinges and slides work smoothly, and there are no structural flaws. The original amber finish is in excellent condition for it’s age with only a few minor scratches. The horizontal brass drawer pulls have a branch-like profile which lends an element of naturalism and offers contrast the vertical fluted detail of the doors. These two design elements, along with the central recess in the cantilevered top, bring a measure of classical perspective to this otherwise minimalist design. This compact sideboard will make a handsome addition to any collection.
