Vintage 60’s Broyhill ‘Brasilia’ Walnut High Dresser

This dynamic Mid Century Modern chest from the Brasilia collection by Broyhill furniture features iconic bentwood wave patterned door fronts and parabola brass pulls.  Two full sized drawers are located on the bottom of this piece with four shallow drawers and two interior shelves behind the doors.  The open storage compartments provide an area to stack items making them easier to locate.  One of the most sought after series of this era, this line’s signature wave motif was designed by Broyhill furniture to pay homage to Oscar Niemeyer, known world-wide as the chief architect behind Brazil’s capital city, Brasilia.

Mid-Century Modern Broyhill Brasilia Gentleman’s Chest

<SOLD>  This arresting version of Broyhill’s Brasilia gentleman’s chest is exceedingly rare.  On this high mid century modern dresser, Brasilia’s signature sculpted wave design is elongated on the doors providing maximum dramatic visual impact. This collectible vintage dresser offers multiple storage options. Three interior compartments separated by vertical wood panels allow clothing to be viewed at a glance. Below there are three smooth gliding drawers offering superior organization, while the two deep drawers on the lower half yield a repository for even more apparel.  This historical collection was introduced at the Seattle World’s Fair in 1962 and was inspired by the architecture of Brasilia, the new capital of Brazil. This iconic vintage piece measures 58″H X 40″W X 19″D and has been completely refinished.   $1100 Now $880
