This Vintage Danish Modern Teak Four Drawer Chest by Svend Aage Madsen for Falster is a meticulously preserved example of Madsen’s progressive yet tasteful design style. The sculpted solid wood pulls which adorn all four drawers have been often imitated, but never with the subtle sophistication seen here. Inward angled trim directs the eye toward this signature detail while lending perspective. All surfaces showcase carefully selected teak veneer in original satin finish which is without significant flaws. The solid teak trim and floating base afford the subtle contrast of a slightly darker wood tone. This rare and distinctive designer dresser is in perfect structural condition and includes a teak framed mirror that measures 23.5″W X 32″H and can be attached to the dresser or hung separately.

This rare six drawer dresser from the Tivøli Collection by H. Paul Browning for Stanley features dark teak veneer, unique pulls, and a floating profile. The old growth teak wood used for this piece darkens with age, as opposed to the lighter colored younger teak which is much more common. This piece has been stripped of its factory finish to reveal the rich grain of mature teak that required no stain to enrich its natural color. It has been refinished with a durable, water-resistant Tung oil varnish. With cast brass pulls, circular brass back plates, and finger jointed teak legs which support a floating base, this vintage piece also boasts bentwood molded pulls of solid oak on the right hand side drawers. Measuring 54″W X D 19″D X 31″ high, this exceptional vintage case piece represents the best of twentieth century furniture design.
