This statuesque walnut highboy dresser by Dixie furniture features four drawers with svelte elliptical brass pulls with black centers on the top two.  The second drawer is double the depth of the top drawer with one wooden dividing panel in the center providing deep storage for bulky items such as sweaters and jeans. The two lower drawers have a thin recessed area below them which serves as pulls.  With a poplar frame overlaid with select walnut veneer, this piece is supported by a solid walnut stretcher base. The dresser measures 38″W X 18.5″D X 44.5″H

Mid-Century Modern Drexel Declaration Dining Table and Six Chairs

This exquisite mid-century modern dining set from Drexel’s Declaration collection was designed in the late 1950’s by Stewart MacDougal and Kipp Stewart.  Declaration has become some of the most sought after mid-century modern furniture on the market because of it’s timeless appeal and high quality construction. The elegant curves and visible joinery in the chairs complement the beautiful simplicity of the expansive dining table perfectly.  Table and chairs are constructed impeccably from solid hardwood clad in American walnut veneer. The chairs maintain their beautiful original finish of tung oil sealed with lacquer, while the table top and two leaves have been refinished with a tung oil varnish to match the original look while providing superior durability and water resistance. The dining table measures 106 inches long with both of the 24 inch leaves inserted. There are six chairs : two Captain’s chairs and four side chairs.

Jens Risom for Knoll Cotton Strap Lounge Chair

<SOLD> With amazing lines and woven cotton straps that give with your body, this classic pair of lounge chairs designed by Jens Risom has stood the test of time.  Born in Denmark, the idea for this chair came to this transplanted American designer during WWII when there was a surplus of discarded parachute webbing. In 1941, Risom teamed with entrepreneur Hans Knoll and in 1942, they launched the Hans Knoll Furniture Company.  Jens Risom’s designs were the first pieces conceived for and manufactured by Knoll. This collection helped establish Knoll as an early source of modern design in America.  These sleek chairs are still manufactured today, and though this set is contemporary, they hold the same punch as they did during the mid century epoch. Jens Risom recently passed away on December 9th of this year (2016) at 100 years old at his home in Connecticut, but his contribution to furniture design lives on.   $450 each

Mid Century Modern Tiered Walnut End Tables with Drawer

<SOLD> This pair of Mid Century Modern sculpted walnut two tiered end tables feature one drawer with a recessed circular wood pull accented by a thin, horizontal brass strip.  The sides and front have a swooped solid wood support creating an arresting profile.  Highly reminiscent of pieces by Stanley Furniture, this sturdy vintage pair of tables has a top surface that appears to be floating on their tapered legs.  Each table measures 21.5″W X 31″D X 20″H with the lower level standing 14.5″H.  $300/pair
