Thomasville produced only a small volume of exceptionally well-designed mid-century furniture, of which this rare and handsome credenza is a shining example. Rosewood accents arranged in an eye-catching pattern adorn four walnut doors which open to reveal spacious drawers and cabinet storage. The case is constructed of solid poplar clad in select walnut veneer which has been refinished in a beautiful, durable, and water resistant tung oil varnish. The solid walnut trim has been refinished with a lower gloss linseed oil varnish to match the well preserved original finish on the door fronts and base.

The stamp on the back of this piece indicates a 1959 copyright, identifying it as an early and unusual example of Thomasville’s contribution to the American mid-century movement.

Mid Century Modern Walnut Stanley Credenza with Rosewood Accents

With unique vertical rosewood  accents, this Mid Century Modern Stanley Credenza is sure to be the focal point of any room. It features circular pulls with a perpendicular rectangular finger hold, and magnetic closures on either cabinet door.  The triple drawers down the center accent the vertical lines on this piece to provide a visually stunning  sideboard.  The top drawer has three green felt lined compartmentalized sections for easy organizing, and the left cabinet features one removable interior shelf. This divine walnut and rosewood credenza is unique, and blends well with all eras of furniture design, and functions nicely as a media console, sideboard or buffet in a dining room. The top has been refinished to match the original finish on the doors, drawers, and sides.

<SOLD>  Manufactured in 1962, this exceptional mid century modern credenza by Stanley features walnut with hourglass diamond shaped rosewood inlays and bands of rosewood on either end of the top surface.  Unique brushed nickel pulls with black and nickel washers adorn the drawers.  The feet of the legs are banded with nickel accenting the pulls.  Both of these features lend a decidedly contemporary edge.  This piece has three center drawers, and a cabinet on either side – one with a fixed interior shelf- providing ample space for media components or dining necessities.  Measuring 54″W X 18″D X 29.5″H, this dazzling vintage credenza can easily function as a low dresser.  Sold on 1/22/17 for $649
