This vintage lounge chair by Davis Furniture of High Point North Carolina features black leather upholstery, a solid walnut frame, and an alluring profile. With a super comfortable seat, the leather shows wear appropriate for its age, but this piece still has a lot of living to do.
This gorgeous dining set includes the dining table with 3 leaves, and a set of six iconic side chairs with updated upholstery grade fabric. Without the leaves inserted, the table forms a square measuring 42″ X 42″ with each leaf measuring 12 inches wide for a total expansion of 78 inches. The grain of the walnut veneer on this set is simply stunning. Both table and chairs have seen an overall refinishing.
This stylized walnut highboy dresser features unique brass hardware, brass banded tapered legs and a floating top. With the form of a rudimentary seagull, the solid brass pulls highlight the rich tone of the walnut veneered drawer fronts. The top drawer is ribbed and fitted with two simple brass button pulls. This Mid-Century Modern coffee table from the Artisan Collection features a classic surfboard profile, gently curved outer edges, and a well preserved original finish. This tasteful minimalist Swedish teak sideboard has been restored to it’s original burgundy color and given a hand rubbed finish true to its original subtle satin sheen. This finely crafted credenza is constructed of strong, lightweight spruce clad in beautiful teak. The veneer used in this piece is a full 1/16″ thick, to give the look, feel, and durability of solid wood. The central cabinet and right hand drop front door lock with interchangeable brass keys. Both keys remain with the piece. The brass locks and hardware are of the highest heavy-duty quality. Two shallow drawers with inset solid teak pulls provide additional storage. One well-executed repair has been done on the front left corner of the cabinet top, resulting in a slight color variation on an area of one square inch or less due to the inherent color difference between the teak used in the repair and the original material of the piece. The legs and stretchers are constructed of European oak which is a perfect complement to the teak seen on all surfaces of the cabinet.
This is an elegant example of early Scandinavian Modern minimalist design restored with care and accuracy, and will be a wonderful addition to any collection.
