Mid Century Maple Coffee Table by Paul McCobb

This Mid Century coffee table constructed of solid maple by Paul McCobb has been refinished with a durable and water resistant Tung oil varnish. The exquisite tapered legs create clean lines and convey a minimal feel. This iconic coffee table has a slightly beveled edge that minimizes the appearance of its footprint.  Paul McCobb was known for his efficient, purposeful pieces and created designs that were essential.  He was one of the few designers of this era to use solid wood rather than veneer for his furniture.

Mid Century Modern Bassett Artisan Walnut Surfboard Coffee Table

This Mid-Century Modern coffee table from the Artisan Collection features a classic surfboard profile, gently curved outer edges, and a well preserved original finish.  Striking black walnut grain is visible on the top surface.  The spindled lower shelf provides a storage option without adding visual weight, while tapered legs and a contoured stretcher base complete this minimalist design.  Manufactured in the 1960’s, this American design was definitely inspired by renown Danish Furniture designer Grete Jalk and has a lovely profile.

Mid Century Danish Modern Solid Teak Coffee Table

This Danish Modern coffee table features a warm, ambered solid teak surface which extends into the end grain.  The thickness narrows toward the ends creating the illusion of an upward curve, and a balanced, minimal form.  With a length of 73 inches, this vintage table rests on slender tapered legs and is a great match for long, low sofas from Mid Century Modern design era.

Mid Century Walnut Coffee Table Copenhagen Collection by Lane, C. 1955

This is a unique vintage, walnut coffee table from the Copenhagen Collection by Lane, manufactured in Altavista, Virginia in 1955.  With an unmistakable nod to Danish modern styling in its name, this design features a lower shelf, cylindrical support pieces, and brass capped tapered legs.  The trim on the top surface, the legs and stretchers are all solid walnut, while the horizontal surfaces are walnut veneer that has been bleached to create an warm, amber tone.  The finish has minor scratches that do not diminish the beauty of this lovely piece.  With a small footprint and a slightly flared center, this vintage table is solidly built and has an arresting profile.
