Mid Century Modern Walnut Credenza by Drexel Declaration with Brass and Walnut Pulls

<SOLD>This mid century modern walnut credenza from Drexel’s Declaration collection features four drawers and two spacious cabinets for media components, albums, or dining accoutrement. Original brass and walnut pulls accent the horizontal grain of the drawers, while the subtly recessed borders of the four cabinet doors outline the beautiful vertically oriented grain of the door fronts. Original lighting automatically illuminates each cabinet when the doors are opened. The tapered walnut legs are centered between each pair of doors, creating a cantilevered effect evocative of modern  architecture. This credenza is one of the many remarkable pieces in Drexel’s Declaration line designed by Stewart MacDougall and Kipp Stewart in the late 1950’s. <SOLD>  Manufactured in 1962, this exceptional mid century modern credenza by Stanley features walnut with hourglass diamond shaped rosewood inlays and bands of rosewood on either end of the top surface.  Unique brushed nickel pulls with black and nickel washers adorn the drawers.  The feet of the legs are banded with nickel accenting the pulls.  Both of these features lend a decidedly contemporary edge.  This piece has three center drawers, and a cabinet on either side – one with a fixed interior shelf- providing ample space for media components or dining necessities.  Measuring 54″W X 18″D X 29.5″H, this dazzling vintage credenza can easily function as a low dresser.  Sold on 1/22/17 for $649

<SOLD> With round white ceramic knobs, and top notch walnut stock, this highly collectible Mid Century credenza from the Declaration line by Drexel Furniture is in immaculate original condition. This cabinet is from the Declaration collection by Drexel Furniture designed by Kipp Stewart and Stuart MacDougall for Drexel, circa 1950.  Interior lighting that is activated when opening each side door is intact and operational.  The top drawers have high quality wooden dividers to keep items organized.  With a solid poplar frame overlaid with highly figured walnut, this vintage sideboard meets all your needs with adjustable interior shelving, slender tapered legs, pre-drilled holes for media cords, and a profile that begs attention.   We are huge fans of this line of MCM furniture and snap it up whenever we can find it!  This fabulous example of mid century design measures 60″W X 20″D X 31″H.  Sold on 1/02/17 for $799
