<SOLD> This mid century modern designer lounge chair features swooped armrests, unique triangular spindled backrest, and solid walnut construction. Fully restored with new components including foam, fabric and supportive webbing, this vintage lounge takes on a new life. Medium density foam was used when recreating the cushions for a soft but firm seat. Durable webbing and new clasps provide structural integrity and confident support. The upholstery grade fabric is a natural, organic wheat tone with a slightly variegated appearance. With a twist to the spindled backrest, each support has a slightly triangular profile, a feature present in other chairs designed by Larsen. The lines, proportions, and quality of material suggest Kofod Larsen as the designer, while the construction leads us to believe the chair and ottoman were manufactured by Selig, for whom Larsen designed many chairs. We have not, however, been able to find definitive proof of this chair’s origin. G-Plan is another possibility for manufacturer. The chair measures 25″W X 34″D X 28″H with a seat height of 16 inches. The ottoman measures 24.5″W X 21.5″D X 14″H

This pair of mid century modern lounge chairs from the ‘Viko’ collection by Baumritter features molded bent plywood armrests with a rich walnut veneer. Each chair has a spindled steel back & one chair back is lower than the other. The sturdy steel frames are virtually indestructible. The faux bois (false wood) texture on the steel frames is an interesting contrast to the voluptuous curves of the molded walnut sides. Metal construction allows for the slim legs to achieve a near horizontal posture which would be structurally impractical with wood legs of this thickness. The result is a comfortable, supportive, and stylish chair. With updated high density foam cushions, and high quality upholstery fabric, these fabulous vintage chairs have been reincarnated and are ready for your home. Founded in 1932 by two brothers-in-law, Nathan Ancelland Theodore Baumritter, Baumritter was the forerunner to Ethan Allen, one of the largest furniture companies in the United States. Each has a seat height of 15 inches. Sold as a set only.

<SOLD> This mid-century modern bent wood lounge chair features new strapping, new foam, and brand new fabric. The armrests are bent solid hardwood, not plywood, and have been refinished to match the original finish on the rest of the chair which is in excellent condition. This chair’s design is of Danish modern inspiration, but we believe it was made in Yugoslavia based on the material and style of construction. It is exceedingly sturdy, and is wider than most chairs of it’s type, making it equally comfortable for both large and small people. Sold on 3/11/17 for $550
