This versatile Danish Teak Credenza is perfect for a media console, buffet, or bar. Two solid teak sliding doors reveal ample storage with adjustable/removable solid wood shelves and a low profile drawer on the right. All sides of this exquisite piece exhibit a pleasantly curvaceous grain pattern only available in the finest teak lumber. Signature wood finger pulls and a subtle outward flare on the edges of the top individualize this masterfully crafted cabinet.

The beauty and functionality of this rare find are surpassed only by it’s craftsmanship . Unlike the vast majority of Danish cabinets available on the market today, this one is 100% wood- not one single piece of particle board. Even the removable shelves and all drawer pieces are solid teak. There are some veneer faces used for aesthetic reasons , but on top of high grade solid wood instead of MDF or ply.

-SOLD- Danish Modern Teak chairs by Kai Kristiansen. These elegant chairs feature sleek black vinyl upholstery in good condition. The  frames are in excellent cosmetic and structural shape. The teak exhibits dark, rich grain with very interesting variegation.

This design is uniquely imaginative, exhibiting everything we love about Danish Modern chairs without being derivative or repetitious. The dramatic forward lean of the back legs conveys an attitude of attentive congeniality, while the rounded floating backs give a sophisticated minimalist feel while supporting comfortable, healthy posture.

-SOLD- This Mid-Century Modern walnut china cabinet from Drexel’s Declaration line arrived at our shop in immaculate condition, and began to truly sparkle after we gave it a gentle cleaning and staged it with some groovy 1960’s glassware. Highlights of this piece include sliding glass panels with original porcelain pulls, original tinted glass shelves,richly figured select walnut veneer, and original light fixtures in all cabinets. Tastefully molded trim adorns the casing and doors, attached with elegant v-cut wood joints evocative of Chinese cabinetry.
The slightly receding angle of the upper section of this cabinet creates a relaxed feel which brings a feeling of spacious repose to any room. The generous horizontal and vertical space beneath the lowest shelf  make this piece perfect as a bar, as well as a credenza or display cabinet.  A well placed light in the bottom cabinet ensures efficient use of all the storage space therein.

The finish on this Mid-Century gem is exemplary in that it shows no discoloration from light exposure whatsoever. When you behold it in person, you will see the exact hue and texture that the maker intended.  As we were informed by the 1959 Drexel Declaration pamphlet we discovered in the top drawer, a light application of laquer over tung oil is responsible for the gorgeous amber tone found in all the Declaration Line pieces.

The abstract qualities of this marble slab merge perfectly with mid century decor where more conventional marble would seem out of place. The rectangular relief pattern on the center doors pleasantly contrasts with the wide sweeping arc of the stretcher base.
