Vintage Mr. Chair Bent Wood lounge George Mulhauser Plycraft

Possibly the coolest of all vintage bent wood chairs, the Mr. Chair by George Mulhauser for Plycraft can be enjoyed equally as a sculpture or a mode of seating. Its aerodynamic curves give it an attitude of perpetual motion, yet it appears comfortable and inviting from every angle. The bent armrests unfold outward naturally , foreshadowing the repose which this elegant chair affords the user. All surfaces of the molded shell display exquisite black walnut which is complemented by the original black vinyl upholstery. The base features black walnut veneer to match the shell; the same material is used on the ottoman. This chair and ottoman are in excellent condition for their age with no major cosmetic flaws.  The original headrest is in fair condition and included in price. Structure is sound, but one of the bushings in the chair bases will need to be replaced soon. This part is readily available for $64 and can be easily installed.

Mid Century Modern Walnut Armchair by Baumritter

Constructed of solid walnut, this newly restored vintage armchair features new foam, new upholstery, and new strapping.  The medium density foam paired with the straps offers firm, comfortable support.  The fabric is an avocado green with a subtle herringbone pattern. With a spindled back and a gorgeous profile, this mid century chair looks great from any direction.  The seat height measures 18 inches; there is minor wear to the wood consistent with age.

This iconic Lamino chair and ottoman was designed by Yngve Ekström for Swedese.  Clad in ivory leather with a bentwood teak frame, this lounge chair and ottoman is the perfect example of form and function.  The ergonomic shape is designed to support your body comfortably, the thick leather giving slightly to conform to the user’s contours.    This design is one of the most comfortable chairs in existence.  This vintage chair has a seat height of 16 inches; the leather shows some minor wear as pictured.

Danish Modern Model #57 Teak Arm Chair by Niels Møller

This rare solid teak Danish Modern Armchair features slim, elegant lines, new support straps and new leather upholstery. Designed by Niels O. Møller for JL Møller Mobelfabrik in 1962, this is the model #57 Arm Chair which boasts a gently sculpted slender frame in warm, honeyed teak.  With a slightly curved backrest and new strapping, this chair provides comfortable, ergonomic yet sturdy support that contours to your body.   The contrasting cream colored cowhide seat covering adds depth and visual interest to this patented design. Lovingly refinished in our workshop, this mid century enthusiasts collector’s chair  has been finished with teak oil and is an invaluable addition to your Danish Modern collection.

This is a set of three Danish Modern teak dining chairs designed by Benny Linden with newly upholstered seats in slate blue.  Made of solid teak with dramatically curved wood slat backrests and a fantastic profile, these chairs are excellent supplemental seating for a pre-existing dining set or a small table.  Each chair is sturdy and structurally sound, has a seat height of 18 inches and can be purchased separately if so desired.  Price listed is for the set of three.
