Solid maple blind drawer pulls offer a subtle contrast to the warm cherry veneer. This vintage 5 drawer dresser is made from a solid poplar frame and is perched upon slender tapered hardwood legs. This statuesque walnut highboy dresser by Dixie furniture features four drawers with svelte elliptical brass pulls with black centers on the top two. The second drawer is double the depth of the top drawer with one wooden dividing panel in the center providing deep storage for bulky items such as sweaters and jeans. The two lower drawers have a thin recessed area below them which serves as pulls. With a poplar frame overlaid with select walnut veneer, this piece is supported by a solid walnut stretcher base. The dresser measures 38″W X 18.5″D X 44.5″H
This Danish Modern lowboy dresser by Kibaek Mobelfabrik features six spacious, smooth sliding drawers and highly figured African rosewood. This exquisite wood is the most esteemed lumber of all time and is used on Steinway pianos and Martin guitars, but is now protected due to over harvesting and can no longer be traded internationally. The tone of the wood is a rich, claret red which maintains its color over time. With a sturdy spruce frame, this rare vintage piece boasts solid rosewood trim and drawer pulls. Circular pulls of brass and walnut accent the nine spacious drawers of this vintage mid-century modern triple dresser by Stanley Furniture Company. The case is constructed of solid poplar clad in select Black Walnut veneer which displays all the richness, depth, and textural complexity seen in the finest Virginia walnut. The two pieces of veneer which adorn the top are book-matched to create a captivating mirror image effect, whereas the veneer on the drawer fronts was cut from one large piece and coordinated to give an effect of visual continuity. The eye can easily follow the grain from one drawer to the next. The side panels feature vertically oriented quarter sawn walnut veneer which adds an interesting linear contrast. Simple McCobb-style tapered legs complement the minimalist symmetry of this fine piece of mid-century bedroom furniture. This elegant lowboy dresser has been refinished from head to toe and is exceedingly sturdy. It measures 62″w x 18″d x 31″h.
This striking mid-century modern high dresser by United Furniture features seven spacious drawers with blind pulls, a sculptural base reminiscent of Kagan and Pearsall, and a modern multi-tiered profile. Four small drawers are on the upper level. The top right drawer has a plastic coin organizer completely intact for storing all kinds of small items such as jewelry, cuff links, or loose change. Three wide drawers are positioned below – the top drawer in this section is divided into three separate compartments for organizational purposes. This lovely vintage dresser is constructed of solid poplar clad in black walnut veneer, with oak accents. The warm honeyed tones of the oak and walnut create a pleasant, subtle contrast. <SOLD> This exceptional Mid Century Modern Gentleman’s Chest from the Mainline collection by Hooker Furniture Company features a total of eight drawers, three of which are hidden behind a sliding panel. An overall refinishing reveals highly figured grain in the select walnut veneer. This piece provides maximum storage capacity with two wide, deep top drawers, and a row of three shorter drawers on either side of the bottom half. With inset oval pulls rimmed with brass, this quality vintage dresser is anything but ordinary. Measures 40″W X 19″D X 46″H. Sold 2/03/17 for $799
