Mid Century Walnut Coffee Table Copenhagen Collection by Lane, C. 1955

This is a unique vintage, walnut coffee table from the Copenhagen Collection by Lane, manufactured in Altavista, Virginia in 1955. With an unmistakable nod to Danish modern styling in its name, this design features a lower shelf, cylindrical support pieces, and brass capped tapered legs. The trim on the top surface, the legs and stretchers are all solid walnut, while the horizontal surfaces are walnut veneer that has been bleached to create an warm, amber tone. The finish has minor scratches that do not diminish the beauty of this lovely piece. With a small footprint and a slightly flared center, this vintage table is solidly built and has an arresting profile.

This vibrant and versatile Mid Century Modern sectional sofa designed by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin features six modular sections which can be creatively arranged to suit your seating needs. The square ottoman is equal in height to all the other components, so can be used as part of the sofa as well. The original cherry red fabric is in excellent condition with some slight sun fading on the back of one section. All sections are in perfect structural condition and are exceedingly comfortable. This is a true mid-century modern classic which exhibits the taste, balance, and livability which define Baughman’s inimitable style. Perfect as a media console, a dining room sideboard, or as a storage piece in any room, this vintage cabinet displays a beautiful array of black walnut veneer adorned by the stainless steel conical pulls with black back-plates that define this line. This credenza has a laminate wood top that withstands moisture and scratches and laughs at furniture abuse; great choice for a home with children!

This fantastic cabinet features an interior glass shelf, sliding glass doors, and flat brass framed doors. With visible through tenon joinery on the stretcher base for support, this piece is exceptionally sturdy. Angular and boxy, this storage cabinet offers large open compartments on the lower section behind striated walnut veneered doors. Despite some flaws to the veneer on the left hand side pictured below, this vintage item with multiple storage options can be separated to create a low lying walnut credenza and either makes a resounding design statement.

This pair of vintage lounge chairs sports a lovely multi tonal tweed, wool fabric and an incredible profile in the style of Adrian Pearsall. With no tags present, we can only guess who designed this fabulous set of chairs, but they were obviously well cared for and well loved. The sloping arms and the gently tilted back provide a truly luxurious repose. Gently splayed tapered legs accent the frames with just the right angle. Semi firm cushions offer comfort and support. With a neutral appearance of chocolate brown, I truly love these chairs and know that they will be a welcome addition to any home. Price listed is for the set.
