This is an original Norwegian Modern Teak Hideaway Desk in excellent condition. All parts move smoothly, the adjustable light functions perfectly,and  all surfaces display well maintained original finish.  All of the shelving is easily adjustable to offer an array of storage possibilities. This “desk in a box” easily accommodates a laptop with accessories and plenty of space for paper records. There is a drawer beneath the work surface and a handy sliding tray beneath that. The desk closes neatly, but is without the original key. The lock is easily removable, in order to have a key made or to replace the cylinder. This is an all wood piece, no pressed board like the later imitations which are commonly seen. Some of the panels are solid teak, while others are light, strong  fir clad in teak veneer. The trim is solid teak. The interior is veneered with maple .The original plug remains attached to the lamp, dating this piece around 1960.

This finely crafted vintage Swedish teak desk is a shining example of mid-century modern designer Folke Ohlsson’s talent and good taste. A two drawer cabinet with recessed solid teak pulls seems to hover weightlessly  beneath a slim yet sturdy frame. An expansive writing surface is accented by contoured front trim and a shapely lip across the rear edge. Handsome from any vantage point, this elegant vintage desk begs to be the centerpiece of an office or study. This piece is in perfect structural condition, and boasts a beautifully maintained original finish.  Maker’s mark is stamped on the underside of the writing surface.

This magnificent Danish teak secretary features a hinged drop front writing surface, three drawers and a lower storage compartment with one shelf.  The interior of the desk portion has shelving and two petite drawers for organizational purposes.  With solid teak elliptical pulls, each drawer slides effortlessly.  This desk opens with the turn of a key, and locks to keep items within secure.  Save for a couple of beauty marks on the small drawer in the upper left side, this piece is impeccable.

<SOLD> This Danish Modern Waterfall Roll Top Desk has multiple interior cubbies, an extendable writing surface, and three spacious lower drawers.  The roll top is made from one continuous panel of highly figured walnut veneer and glides into place easily.  The interior of the upper half has two shallow drawers with button pulls and three deep storage compartments.  A flat, horizontal panel slides neatly below the main writing surface and can be extended to expand the writing surface and accommodate a desk chair.  There are solid walnut recessed circular knobs with a square back plate on each lower drawer.  This is a great space conscious design that emphasizes both form and function.  This exquisite mid century desk measures 33″W X 18″D X 38.5″H.  $450
