This spacious Mid Century Modern Gentleman’s Chest features four half sized drawers behind two elegantly curved double doors and three full sized lower drawers with long, sculptural drawer pulls.  The dresser is constructed of solid wood overlaid with select book matched hardwood veneer.  The top surface has gently curved edges that is indented in the front center.  The contoured solid wood handles add a geometric contrast.  With natural light amber finish and splayed tapered legs, this danish-inspired profile is an excellent example of vintage pieces from this era of furniture design.

Solid Cherry Highboy Dresser Commander Line by Kling Furniture, NYC

This statuesque solid cherry highboy dresser from the Commander Line by Kling Furniture, features solid wood construction, and six smooth gliding, spacious drawers  This piece is built from warm cherry – no veneer whatsoever – which is quite rare for this era of furniture design.  Each drawer has a horizontal rounded bar pull and no visible hardware lending simplicity to the appearance.  The top drawer has four solid wood panels dividing the drawers into five equal compartments; the second drawer is divided into three equal sections to keep your clothing organized.  Resting on four gliding castors for easy maneuverability, this vintage dresser dates back to the 1950’s and is incredibly solid and extremely well built.  Similar in design to Heywood Wakefield, Kling Furniture Company was a high end company based in New York City who competed directly with the furniture mogul.

This statuesque gentleman’s chest features rattan wrapped pulls, book matched pecan veneer and an upper cabinet with two drawers within.  The lower section has a shallow top drawer, and an extra deep middle drawer for storing bulky items such as sweaters and jeans.  This vintage pieces is constructed of solid poplar overlaid with a warm, amber veneer and a solid wood stretcher base providing superior stability.  This storage piece offers spacious storage with a somewhat smaller footprint.
