This 1963 Lane Cedar Chest has one full sized felt lined lower drawer, functioning lock with original key in the envelope and printed guarantee still attached. With a beautiful wood grain and slender brass pulls, this piece offers more storage than traditional chests. The interior is immaculate and the chest is in exceptional condition that shows no signs of wear. This chest measures 43″W X 19″D X 30″H.

<SOLD> This rare Mid-Century Modern compact dresser by Cavalier circa 1945 has three unique vented cedar drawers to keep your belongings fresh and moth-free. This elegant chest has gorgeous, distinctive lines and unusual horizontal veneer figuring with sculpted walnut horseshoe shaped pulls. The casing has been refinished in our restoration shop and is in excellent condition.
The outer appearance of this chest was given considerable thought and is apparent in the placement of the incredibly striking veneer. Even the toeboard on this piece has been well thought out. Book matched walnut veneer meets in the center of two inwardly angled pieces creating a bowtie effect. The pulls on this chest are unlike any other we’ve seen : sculpted pieces of solid walnut shaped like flat sided irregular horseshoes with a curved bevel edge.
The interior of this chest and each individual drawer is constructed of fresh cedar. The drawers are vented to allow air to flow through. The Cavalier name offers “Complete Cedar-Chest Protection” and “Aroma-flow Constructed Drawers”

This 1961 Lane Cedar Chest is a bit larger than most mid century cedar chests and features some interesting brass decorative elements which make it stand out from the rest. It would work well as a media stand as well as in its intended capacity. The front is clad in rich figured walnut veneer which contrasts pleasantly with the slightly lighter top.
