Vintage Mid Century Modern Broyhill Brasilia Credenza

SOLD

vintage walnut credenza broyjill brasilia

This striking walnut credenza from  Broyhill’s Brasilia collection features  3 drawers with brass pulls, 2 cabinet doors with the signature Brasilia sculptural wood detail, and a well maintained original finish. The unforgettable bent wood detail which adorns both doors was inspired by architect Oscar Neimeyer’s Alvarado Palace in the Brasil’s capitol city. The Brasilia collection made its debut at the 1962 World’s Fair and was produced through the early 1970s.  Its timeless appeal makes it even more desirable today than it was in the mid-century. This sideboard is constructed of solid poplar clad in select walnut veneer.  The front facade and sides are in near perfect condition. The top has a small amount of minor scratching at the edges, which in our opinion does not detract from the overall appeal of the piece.
