This vintage solid wood slat coffee table looks perfect in front of a sofa, and also can serve as a bench. Constructed of Yugoslavian hardwood, it is exceedingly solid for a piece with such a slim profile. The legs are attached with hanger bolts which thread into metal cylinders set directly into the wood braces, instead of with external metal brackets which are much less stable. The original finish is in very good condition, and there are no structural flaws. The light visual weight of this versatile piece makes it perfect for mid-century modern or contemporary decor.

Mid Century Modern Broyhill Brasilia Six Drawer Low Dresser

This mid century modern six drawer dresser from Broyhill’s Brasilia Collection features a tasteful interpretation of architect Oscar Niemeyer’s innovative design work as seen on the exterior of the Alvorado Palace in the city of Brasilia, Brasil. The grandiose parabola motif which adorns the front facade of the palace inspires the scultpural bent wood detail on the top drawer, as well as the brass pulls on the lower drawers. The subtle angles in the floating stretcher base complement the decorative elements seen on the face of the dresser to complete a well balanced and practical furniture design which pays homage to a luminary of mid-century modern architecture. This dresser is constructed of solid poplar clad in black walnut veneer which maintains it’s original finish in very good condition for it’s age. There is some wear on the top, but no significant scratches or rings on any visible surface. The drawers are constructed of solid oak with dovetail joinery and are equipped with metal slides in perfect working condition. This piece is structurally sound in every respect. Includes mirror seen in second picture.Measures 58″ w x 19″d x 29.5″h.

Mid Century Modern Broyhill Brasilia High Dresser

This iconic mid century highboy dresser from Broyhill’s Brasilia Collection features the unmistakable Brasilia parabola motif presented in bent wood on the top drawer and reiterated in brass pulls on the lower drawers. This detail is inspired directly by the work of architect Oscar Niemeyer who designed numerous structures in Brasil’s capitol, Brasilia. A semi-floating stretcher base lightens the visual weight of this impressive piece while complementing the modernist architectural details which adorn the drawers. This chest is built of solid poplar clad in black walnut veneer. The finish is in very good condition with only minor signs of normal wear. There are no structural problems, and all drawers slide smoothly on aluminum gliders. Measures 40″w x 19″d x 44.5″h. The matching low dresser is also available.

Circular Cherry Slab Coffee Table

This handcrafted circular cherry slab coffee table features a captivating grain pattern, visible wood joinery which is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, and a smooth satin lacquer finish. It sits on three sturdy bare steel hairpin legs which add an industrial edge. The bare steel complements the subtle tones of amber and beige in the slab top. The cracks which occur inevitably while a piece like this dries have been filled with polyester resin tinted with cherry sawdust to give an organic look and smooth feel. Double dovetail inlays of quartersawn cherry have been inserted where necessary for enduring structural stability. This unique naturalistic piece was crafted by local artisan Josh Barker. It measures 24″ in diameter and stands 17″ high.
