Original Bent Plywood “Scoop Chair” by Carter Brothers Furniture

This is an original bent plywood Mid-Century Modern chair designed by Carter Brothers.  The dual cushion design dates this piece as mid 50’s;  after 1958, the chair was redesigned using a single cushion for the seat and back.  The walnut shell has been refinished in our workshop. The foam cushions have been replaced and provide an exceedingly comfortable repose. Both cushions have been reupholstered with new, matte black vinyl.  As rare as the single-cushion version is, the two-cushion model is even more sought-after and particularly difficult to find.  This super cool, vintage chair has a seat height of 14 inches.

Mid Century Dining Set with Six Chairs Drexel “Modern” Collection

This black walnut dining set includes a refinished table with protective table pads, and a set of six ridiculously fabulous angular chairs.  The chairs are solid walnut and have been refreshed with new foam padding and textured wheat colored upholstery grade fabric.   This unique set is from the exquisitely designed Modern Collection by Drexel Furniture, has been very well cared for and includes one table leaf measuring 12 inches wide.

This gorgeous MCM credenza from the “Modern” collection by Drexel features compelling figured walnut, four drawers with unique hardware, and one cabinet with fixed interior shelf. The top drawer is compartmentalized for organizational purposes.  With stylized brass handles, and simple brass button pulls, this vintage piece has a timeless appearance.  The color is a warm, honeyed amber and the finish is flawless.
