<SOLD> This Mid Century Modern Walnut Credenza from the Perspecta line by Kent Coffey has 3 drawers down the center flanked by two blind cabinets each with one fixed interior shelf.  This stylish vintage piece features sculptural rosewood pulls on the cabinet doors with slender, minimalistic pulls on the center drawers.  The top drawer is divided into 4 compartments for organizational purposes and was intended to store silverware if used as a china cabinet as originally intended.  This is an ideal piece for a media center with generous storage in both the drawers & cabinets.  This iconic vintage 60’s credenza measures 65.5″W X 18.5″D X 31″H and has a professionally refinished top that showcases the beautiful figuring in the walnut.  Sold on 11/7/2015 – $799

<SOLD> This incredibly unique mid century modern upholstered arm chair has sharply angled armrests & a bowtie shaped pillow that duplicates the angle of the backrest.  Both the pillow and the chair seat are accented with understated tufted buttons. The chair sits solidly on walnut McCobb style legs with a recessed band.  The red tweed wool fabric is like new which indicates that this chair may have been reupholstered at some point.  Despite our diligent research to find a comparable piece, we were unable to find anything resembling this design and there is no label attached, therefore it is possibly a custom made chair.   Regardless of the designer, this fantastic chair will command attention in any room of your home.  Sold on 11/25/2015 for $499

<SOLD> This eye catching credenza from the Sculptra line by Broyhill has 3 roomy drawers down the center and two doors on either side with fixed shelving behind each.  The drawers have the signature inset cat-eye pulls and each door has the walnut relief pattern that defines this line. All drawers are dovetailed and slide effortlessly. With the original finish and gorgeous walnut figuring, this piece is in excellent vintage condition and measures 58″W X 17″D X 28.5″H.  Perfect size for a media center with plenty of storage for your components.  The height of the lower interior shelf measures 9 1/4″ and the upper section measures 7 1/4″ high.  Sold on 11/1/2015 for $499

<SOLD> This vintage 1964 mid century modern desk is from the Acclaim line by Lane furniture company has seven drawers with walnut finger pulls & the signature ash dovetails adorning the writing surface.  This series was the best selling furniture line in the mid 60’s.  Paired here with a Danish Modern style chair by Thonet, this handsome desk measures 50″W X 23″D X 29″H with a kneehole height of 24 inches.  Sold on 10/24/2015 for $499

Information on this line can be found in the Lane Acclaim Furniture Catalog which reads as follows:

“Although contemporary in classification, Acclaim furniture has a distinct hand-crafted quality that gives it unusual warmth and mellowness. Edges are softly rounded and suggest patient hand-working, rubbing, more hand-working and rubbing to achieve the soft, sculptured contours. Only the top 35% grade of walnut on the market is considered for this furniture. Then, out of 100 feet purchased, only 40 feet will meet Lane’s exacting requirements for grain and color. This fine wood is then finished with a mellow gunstock patina, enriched in character with dovetail inlays. Let your finger-tips brush across the satin-sooth dovetailing — you won’t be able to tell where the joinings are. Drawers operate easily and smoothly on steel ball bearing drawer guides.”

<SOLD> This is a glorious mid century dining set by American of Martinsville. Purchased in 1966, this set has had only one owner who maintained it meticulously. The surface of the table has 4 contrasting walnut veneer quadrants and appears to be fresh from the factory with an absolutely perfect satin lacquer finish. Each corner has a rounded four pointed inlaid star which is a signature motif of American of Martinsville. With eye catching walnut figuring, this piece is, quite simply, stunning. The table includes one extension leaf measuring 18″ long and is in equally good condition. Six high back chairs with a graceful curve are adorned with a refined neutral toned linen fabric and retain their original tags. The narrow chair backs have flawless cane over solid walnut making it much more durable than cane alone. Two of the chairs are Captain’s chairs and all chairs are in like new condition. Measurements of the table are 40″W X 62″L X 29″H (80 inches long with the leaf inserted.)   SOLD 10/10/2015 for $1499
