<SOLD> This is a glorious mid century dining set by American of Martinsville. Purchased in 1966, this set has had only one owner who maintained it meticulously. The surface of the table has 4 contrasting walnut veneer quadrants and appears to be fresh from the factory with an absolutely perfect satin lacquer finish. Each corner has a rounded four pointed inlaid star which is a signature motif of American of Martinsville. With eye catching walnut figuring, this piece is, quite simply, stunning. The table includes one extension leaf measuring 18″ long and is in equally good condition. Six high back chairs with a graceful curve are adorned with a refined neutral toned linen fabric and retain their original tags. The narrow chair backs have flawless cane over solid walnut making it much more durable than cane alone. Two of the chairs are Captain’s chairs and all chairs are in like new condition. Measurements of the table are 40″W X 62″L X 29″H (80 inches long with the leaf inserted.)   SOLD 10/10/2015 for $1499
