Mid Century Circular Walnut Dining Set First Edition Andre Bus for Lane

This is a unique walnut dining table and chairs set designed by Andre Bus in 1965 for the first edition collection by Lane.  It features four bentwood backed chairs and a circular table with one leaf.  All four chairs are upholstered in black vinyl; the fabric is in very good condition with the exception of a few minor flaws on one of the chair seats, pictured below.  Chairs have bent plywood backs and are structurally sound and exceedingly comfortable.  The table has a circular fluted base with a band of walnut veneer at the bottom; some minor veneer loss has been noted.  The diameter of the table is 48 inches and includes one table leaf measuring 12 inches wide for a maximum extension of 60 inches.
