This authentic “Bird” chair was designed by Bertoia for Knoll. Constructed of welded steel rods, this chair rests on a sled base with plastic glides to protect floors. Harry Bertoia’s wire chairs are among the most recognized achievements of mid-century modern design and a proud part of the Knoll heritage. This iconic mid century modern chair has a seat height of 14.5 inches and is in excellent condition with no breaks or rust in the steel connections. There have been welding repairs near both of the shocks. Custom cushions are available online at other retail stores.
