About The Company:

The Kent-Coffey Manufacturing Company was started in 1907 by Harold Coffey in Lenoir, North Carolina.  Along with James Broyhill and John Bernhardt, he was one of the early leaders in establishing the North Carolina furniture industry in the early 1900s.  The Kent-Coffey collections of the 1950s and 1960s were solidly built and priced so the average consumer could afford them, resulting in their popularity.  The brand is now experiencing a resurgence as a new generation of mid century enthusiasts are becoming familiar with the name and adding these pieces to their collections.  With their simple beauty, these vintage designs are attracting the attention of Mid-Century Modern collectors everywhere.

The tops have been refinished with Tung Oil varnish, while legs and casing retain their original finish. With wide tops and spacious drawers, these tables offer plenty of storage. They would also function very well as nightstands.  These beautiful side tables maintain their original finish of Tung Oil over Lacquer, creating the lustrous amber glow unique to the Drexel Declaration line designed by Kip Stewart. Dating from 1963, this stylish pair of tables will accent other Declaration living room furniture, or fit right in with any number of eclectic mid-century modern combinations. <SOLD>This unique pair of mid century modern walnut end tables feature one drawer, a lower shelf and a circular relief pattern gracing the frame.  A circular wooden knob sits in center of the drawer accented by a single copper back plate. These pieces are from the Circa 1960 line by Henredon Furniture. Each table measures 22″W X 27″D X 22″H and has been refinished in house.  Sold 5/15/2016 $350/pair

<SOLD> This exceptional pair of mid century modern nightstands offers plenty of storage with 2 drawers and a sliding door with an open cubby behind.  The drawers have thin, horizontal solid walnut pulls that lend a sleek appearance.  There is burl wood veneer in the recessed area behind the drawer pulls and in the center of the right hand sliding door panel.  The design of the door panel is reminiscent of the Broyhill Emphasis line of furniture, although no labels were found designating it as such.  Sliding the door to the left reveals a vertical storage space perfect for magazines, books, or even albums. These unique nightstands measure 26″W X 17″D X 24″H and have been meticulously refinished – Sold on 11/7/2015 for $125/each
