Mid Century Modern Tension Rod Pole Lamp with Walnut Accents

This stunning Mid Century Modern tension rod pole lamp features three individual lighting fixtures with cylindrical fiberglass shades wrapped in rattan and enhanced by vertical solid walnut strips.  Each fixture is held in place by a brass support that has a complimentary wood piece that runs parallel to the pole.  One subtle metallic serpentine ribbon accents the tops and bottoms of each lamp shade.  There is one switch that controls all three lights that offers different levels of lighting – one, two, or three of the lights can be be illuminated depending on your needs.  The minimum extension of this vintage lighting piece is 84 inches and the maximum extension is 100 inches.

Hand-Knotted Gabbeh Style Wool Runner in Red and Blue

This hand knotted wool runner is a high quality reproduction of carpets produced by the Gabbeh tribe of Iran. It features the characteristic animal motifs, lively colors, and durable wool of Gabbeh rugs for a fraction of the price.  It is very thick, plush, and comforting to walk on. The asymmetrical placement of rudimentary animal and human figures throughout the rug gives a sense of activity and draws the eye naturally down the hall. There is some damage to one of the fringes, and minor wear on the pile appropriate for age of the rug.

His use of a large spherical frosted globe in the center offers a welcome contrast to the wood and a lovely illuminating quality.
