They would also function very well as nightstands.  These beautiful side tables maintain their original finish of Tung Oil over Lacquer, creating the lustrous amber glow unique to the Drexel Declaration line designed by Kip Stewart. Dating from 1963, this stylish pair of tables will accent other Declaration living room furniture, or fit right in with any number of eclectic mid-century modern combinations. <SOLD>  This beautifully restored Mid-Century Modern Queen size headboard displays exquisite, highly figured walnut veneer on all visible surfaces, ample shelving and a personal drawer on either side of the bed. There is a long top shelf clad in slick black formica.  The sturdy central support beams which connect this headboard to its bed frame are completely hidden by the mattress so that the headboard seems to be supported only by the brass-capped torpedo legs on either end.  The inward-facing shelves and drawers which surround the bed offer easier access than conventional nightstands while providing a modern minimalist profile. This rare mid-century gem from the Dania Collection by American of Martinsville offers both functionality and polished style. Sold on 7/22/16 for $699
