<SOLD>This walnut drop front secretary from Merton Gershun’s Dania Collection by American of Martinsville is one of the most versatile Mid-Century Modern storage pieces available. It can function as a desk, credenza, dresser, or a combination of the above. The drop-front writing surface conceals cubbies and a small drawer perfect for organizing finances and memos, as well as sufficient space to store a laptop or smaller audio components. The two louvered-front drawers below can store extra clothing or personal effects. There are also 3 shallow drawers in the base . The cabinet rests on felt pads and can be re-positioned anywhere on the base to accommodate lighting, media components, or art.
All components are constructed of solid poplar clad in select walnut veneer. Brass trim adorns the floating stretcher base, highlighting the tapered torpedo legs of solid walnut. All external surfaces have been refinished in a satin tung oil varnish. The elegant handle on the drop-front door is solid brass.

The power strip is located at the back near the top with a circular opening next to it allowing you to power phone chargers, alarm clocks or lighting on the first level without unsightly cords. The front surface of each drawer is accented with thin horizontal strips providing an eye catching detail. All of the edges of the horizontal surfaces are highlighted with solid maple inlays in a tear drop shape. Each of these vintage pieces measures 18″W X 25″D X 27″H with a lower level of 17 inches. <SOLD>This classic mid century modern dining set by Broyhill features a refinished table with two leaves and coordinating table pads. The tapered table legs beg attention. Six T-back chairs with new textured harvest gold fabric complete the set. As big fans of this line of furniture, we are sure you will fall in love after just one date. The chairs with slightly tilted backs and lofty seat cushions have not been refinished and do show some normal wear appropriate for their age. The table measures 42″W X 42″D X 29.5″H without leaves.
