This mid-century modern three drawer walnut chest by American of Martinsville features eye-catching metal pulls and decorative inlays which set off the rich burgundy finish of the select walnut veneer seen on all surfaces. The drawer fronts display a quartersawn walnut border which complements the flat sawn walnut within.The characteristic metal star inlay is seed at each corner of the top surface. A modern floating stretcher base lightens the visual weight of this sturdy dresser. All drawers slide smoothly and this piece is in excellent overall structural condition. The original finish has been well maintained, with wear appropriate for its age.
