Description
This vintage 1960’s writing desk was manufactured by Alma Desk Company in High Point, NC. The casing is walnut veneer with solid walnut corners and legs. The back is finished allowing it to be placed away from the wall. The top is a reconditioned faux wood laminate; a process we developed that renders laminate more like real wood. This mid century modern piece has one, long, shallow drawer in the center flanked by cabinets. The right hand cabinet houses adjustable shelving, and the left cabinet has a useful horizontal, pull-out shelf. This desk rests on short, tapered legs with silver ferrules. There is a professional veneer repair on the back of the top surface and on the side that has been documented in the last 2 photos but is imperceptible. This simply designed classic is in excellent condition and ready for your office or the student in your life.
