Lane’s “Acclaim” series is one of the most popular American Mid Century Modern furniture lines in history. Contrasting oak inlays define this line. Designed by Andre Bus, this mid century dining set from the Acclaim collection by Lane includes a drop leaf table with one leaf, and six chairs with backrests baring decorative oak bow tie inlays. The table is made of solid poplar overlaid with select walnut veneer with a beautiful wood grain. The signature oak inlays are on either end of the table. The chairs consist of four side chairs & two captain’s chairs, all with new black vinyl seat covers. The front legs of the chairs & the legs of the table have false black ferrules. These chairs are constructed exceptionally well and are extremely sturdy. This vintage find has been meticulously refinished and is in excellent condition. This set is very rare; in seven years of business, we have only found one other set. This table measures 62 inches long with no leaf inserted and includes one twelve inch leaf for a maximum extension of 74 inches. The table with both leaves dropped measures 29.5 inches.
