Description
This extremely rare white ceramic vase by Leonor Fini features two, colorful, masked dancing figures on either side. This piece of Italian history is signed by the artist and marked “made in Italy on the underside. The vibrant, surrealistic, figures are portrayed on a flattened section in the center of an asymmetrically shaped vase. “Leonor Fini (1907 – 1996) was an Argentine-Italian surrealist painter, designer, illustrator, and author, known for her depictions of powerful and erotic women. Though often overlooked in favor of male contemporaries, she was a very important influence in the surrealist movement.”
