Description
This simply designed storage chest is constructed of solid cedar overlaid with oak veneer. The original plinth base was removed and replaced with tapered legs. The mounting plate for the legs offers a vertical leg alternative to the splayed leg orientation as shown photos. The felt lined interior shelf is completely intact and functional. A series of small, dark dots accent the front. The oak grain is breath taking. This chest was manufactured by Lane of Virginia in 1971. Solidly constructed with a fresh, clean, cedar interior, this professionally refinished, vintage blanket chest is in excellent condition.
