Description
This framed vintage tribal textile was made by cutting and layering many pieces of fabric with intricate stitching. A mola, also referred to as a reverse applique, is textile art from the Guna Indians of Panama. Depicting fantastical prehistoric creatures in vibrant colors, this mola is double framed in wood with a border of burlap and preserved behind glass. This original piece is in excellent, original, unaltered condition with no imperfections noted.
