Description

This vintage MCM credenza features richly hued rosewood with darker veining and a plethora of storage options.  Constructed of strong, solid spruce overlaid with rosewood veneer, this mid century modern sideboard rests on solid rosewood tapered legs with a narrow band of understated brass.  The cabinet doors have simple solid brass, boat cleat pulls.  The interior features six smooth gliding drawers, two cabinets with two adjustable or removeable shelves, and is deep enough to accommodate record albums.  Great as a sideboard, a media console, or for vinyl storage, this rare, versatile storage cabinet is in very good condition with a few superficial scratches on the top surface.

Rosewood has been proclaimed as an endangered species and is now protected  under international regulations.  Commonly used in manufacture of guitars, rosewood was overharvested in the middle of the twentieth century and is very slow growing, therefore we may not see the beauty of this rare lumber in modern furniture design for decades.
