The Statesman Collection by Epoch represents an elegant, innovative marriage of classic construction with modern design sensibilities. Showcasing visible wood joinery and rich patina, each Statesman table displays all the finest traits of the dignified materials which comprise it. Originally, we used only centuries-old Heart of Pine and reclaimed White Oak, but customer requests soon encouraged us to try Cherry, Black Walnut, and Spalted Maple. We have found that each lumber species brings out a different character in the design, one as congenial as the next.
The gallery below displays the various incarnations of the Statesman design in various settings. You’ll also catch a glimpse of the A-frame barn in Ashland VA which houses our wood shop, our workroom itself, and some of the structures from which we reclaim our historic building material.
