Maybe it’s the complex yet irregular geometry created by the profile of sails in the wind. Or perhaps they’re a reminder of the meaningful leisure time associated with the American dream.

Whatever the reason,  sailboat sculptures look great in a mid-century design scheme. This one is especially well-crafted with three brass sails propelling an elegant small vessel perched atop a carefully chosen piece of driftwood which resembles a wave. It is a one of a kind piece made in North Carolina and signed by the artist. $36

This stellar brass Mid Century Modern starburst clock features dramatic arrowhead rays connected by black steel rods and a simple black steel face with no numerals.  This timepiece is large enough to fill an entire wall and will serve as an accent to most any decor.  Operating by the turn of a key, this vintage windup clock is form and function at its finest, keeping accurate time for over four days after winding.  The diameter of this bold timeless piece measures 28.5 inches.
