Description
This sensational vintage tribal textile was made by cutting and layering many pieces of fabric with intricate stitching. A mola, also referred to as a reverse applique, is textile art from the Guna Indians of Panama. This mola has been matted in white, set in a clean line wooden frame, and preserved behind glass. Depicting prehistoric birds in a maze of royal blue & white, this piece is in excellent, original, unaltered condition with no imperfections noted.
