<SOLD>This walnut drop front secretary from Merton Gershun’s Dania Collection by American of Martinsville is one of the most versatile Mid-Century Modern storage pieces available.  It can function as a desk, credenza, dresser, or a combination of the above. The drop-front writing surface conceals cubbies and a small  drawer perfect for organizing finances and memos, as well as  sufficient space to store a laptop  or smaller audio components. The two louvered-front drawers below can store extra clothing or personal effects. There are also 3 shallow drawers in the base .  The cabinet rests on felt pads and can be re-positioned  anywhere on the base  to accommodate lighting, media components, or art.

All components are constructed of  solid poplar clad in select walnut veneer. Brass trim adorns the floating stretcher base, highlighting the tapered torpedo legs of solid walnut. All external surfaces have been refinished in a satin tung oil varnish. The elegant handle on the drop-front door is solid brass.
